First Kabbalat Shabbat with Rabbi Lee! Friday, April 18th, 6:30 at the UU. Join your favorite community members (and bring a friend) for a lively, familiar Kabbalat Shabbat and delicious veggie pot luck!
On the seventh evening of Passover this year, we will ritually remember the Crossing of the Sea. In biblical math, after we left our enslavement on the 14th of the Hebrew month Nissan we arrived to the shores of the Red Sea seven days later - another epic milestone to mark in the psycho-spiritual journey toward freedom. This concluding day of the festival week has been a holiday in its own right since ancient times, yet often gets overlooked.
Rabbi Lee will lead us in a Kabbalat Shabbat service woven with chants from the delightful and delicious Song of Songs, the scroll we uplift in Passover season. We’ll sing our hearts out, count the Omer together, and open and engage with a vision statement that our dear Olam Team has been at work crafting for us.
Bring your favorite kosher for Passover dishes to share!
*This event occurs during Passover. Please don’t bring any bread products (chometz).
