Making our own Matza: take back this tradition! Sunday, March 21st, 10 am. The Talmud describes that matzo was traditionally made in the home. Yet, over the past century, the Torah requirement that we consume only unleavened bread has been fulfilled primarily by store-bought matza. Let us take this essential piece of Passover observance back into our own hands, literally! We will review what is important about making matzo, from a ‘chametz’ perspective, and then each of us, in our own kitchens, can make a batch together! While homemade matza might not adhere to the strictness of halacha/Jewish Law, it will work for many in our community!
Have ready flour and water. We’ll make a batch together.
