Thursday, July 9th 7:30 pm. In conjunction with Burlington’s UU Church, Ruach haMaqom is forming a group to read and discuss the book, Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World and Become a Good Ancestor. This will culminate in a symposium with the UU on Aug. 30th. The New York Times  writes “This eye-opening book challenges you to do the essential work of unpacking your biases, and helps white people take action and dismantle the privilege within themselves so that you can stop (often unconsciously) inflicting damage on people of color, and in turn, help other white people do better, too.” We’ll meet on the 9th, and then decide when next to meet and how to structure our learning.
