Saturday, March 7th, 6 pm children's parade, 7 pm music begins. Live music with the Vermont Klezmer Ensemble. Come celebrate springtime and be entertained as we witness the wild re-telling of the Book of Esther and the skewering of our political leaders and recent events. This Purim celebration is non-religious and dedicated to the experience of turning everything upside down and inside out. The evening will be filled with theater, dance, and strong spirits. This will be a BYOB event with awesome live, dance-able music!
Purim comes from The Book of Esther, composed in 400 BCE when the Jews lived in Persia. Since then, it is celebrated by the reading of text and costumes, political theater, and an excess of alcohol consumption.
This is a 21+ event! $10 at the door
